Payment Terms:

All driving lessons must be paid before the lesson starts. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.

It is advised to pay for the lesson the day before to ensure time is not wasted sorting/checking payment at the start of the lesson.

• Blocks of 10 or 40 hours must be paid upfront.

• 'A Day with Steve' booking requires a £50 deposit when booking. Please note, this deposit is non-refundable if the day is cancelled with less than 5 days’ notice.

Cancellations:

‘Pay as you go’ and block booked lessons:

Cancellations that are made on the same day of the driving lesson will be charged at the full price of the lesson. Most driving instructors ask for 48 hours notice before full payment is charged so please work with me and cancel lessons before the same day or as soon as possible. Thank you 😊

A 'Day with Steve'

These booking require a £50 deposit/day when booking. Please note, this deposit is non-refundable if the day is cancelled with less than 5 days’ notice.

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your lesson due to personal circumstances or illness, I will give you as much notice as possible and rearrange or refund the lesson (this will be your choice). Thank you for your understanding.

• You can use my car for the test BUT only if I agree that you are 'test-ready' and safe to do so. In some cases, learners may feel confident they are ready to go to the test before I feel they are. It is essential that learners are safe to take the test for all road-users. Discussions about this issue will take place in plenty of time. Learners will also need to check my availability if they want to use my car. My instructor reference number is 904996 which you can use when booking a practical test.

• If you want to use the instructor car for the test, it will be charged at the 2 hour rate . We will be able to complete a short practice drive before your test that will last approximately 50 minutes.

• It is advisable to have a discussion with me before booking your test.

Before a lesson takes place;

• I will need to see your provisional or full licence before the first lesson only.

• You are responsible for ensuring that you arrive at each driving lesson in a fit and safe condition to drive.

  I operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol or drugs prior to a lesson where this may affect your ability to drive safely. This includes consuming excessive amounts of alcohol the night before a lesson if you are still affected or otherwise unfit to drive the following day.

  If I have any reasonable concern or suspicion that you are not fit to drive, the lesson will not proceed. This decision is made solely on the basis of safety and will not be open to negotiation.

  Please ensure that you arrive at every lesson fully fit, alert, and capable of driving safely.

• Please cancel the lesson if you are unwell or unfit to drive safely. Thank you 😊
